SMSC & British Values
SMSC stands for spiritual, moral, social and cultural. We recognise that the personal development of pupils, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve. At Wendover we aim to develop SMSC in an on-going way through all areas of the curriculum. This is a whole school issue and SMSC should be evident within lessons and in all aspects of school life. At Wendover Junior School, our teaching and planning of SMSC incorporates the Fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of the law, individual liberty, mutual respect and valuing different faiths and beliefs.
